First Production Aston Martin V12 Zagato To Debut in Kuwait

  • The first cars will be delivered later this year, with prices starting at $518,000.

GAYDON, England — The first production Aston Martin V12 Zagato will debut in mid-February at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance.

Based on the company’s V12 Vantage and developed in partnership with Italian coachbuilder Zagato, the V12 Zagato is slated to be assembled in a limited run of 150 cars, with the first cars to be delivered later this year. Prices start at $518,000.

The V12 Zagato first appeared in prototype form last May at Villa D’Este Concours at Lake Como, Italy. The car made its racing debut shortly after that at the Nrburgring 24 Hour race.

Aston Martin was purchased from Ford Motor Company in 2007 by a group of investors, including Kuwaiti-based Investment Dar. The group is headed by David Richards, founder of Prodrive.

Inside Line says: This is one of those rare cars that stands out even among the rarest of exotics.
