Ford Police Interceptor
Ford announced their 2011 GCC sales figures for Ford and the Lincoln brands. The company claims to have achieved a 50 per cent year on year increase. Ford claims that 65 per cent of their sales in 2011 were driven by retail sales and not commercial sales, as expected by the company.
Ford recorded a 35 per cent growth in the UAE while sales in Saudi Arabia grew by 50 per cent.
Ford has big plans for 2012 and is aiming at increasing its market share from 6 per cent to 10 per cent. The company is expecting its 2012 lineup and the impending launch of the new F series in May-June this year to significantly boost sales.
Ford also announced that they are testing the Police Interceptors for operational feasibility in this region.
