The high-performance Hyundai Veloster Turbo has been spied at the Detroit motor show ahead of its official debut tomorrow. The model pictured here is destined for the US market, with a show reveal for a European version, which will include the UK, penciled in for the Geneva motor show in March.
A four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing around 210bhp will power the US-spec Veloster. The spec of the European car has yet to confirmed, but the power figure is not expected to differ drastically for its US sibling.
The Veloster Turbo, which produces just 138bhp in its present most potent version, will feature a range of styling and chassis modifications as part of its overhaul. These include a more muscular front-end, flared arches and a deeper rear bumper, with sports springs the major suspension change.
The US will get their version of the Veloster Turbo by the summer. UK buyers are tipped to get the car in the second half of 2012.
