American investors after A&F and Nike

The stock markets around the globe seemed to wake up on

Thursday after a week relatively flat. In the US market, Nike,
Lululemon Athletica and A&F set the path, whereas Next plc was the
most notable stock in London.

 

In Wall Street, shares of Sears kept to struggle on Thursday, after
plunging 20 percent to $36.63 on Tuesday, the most in the S&P 500,
after the retailer announced plans to close between 100 and 120 Sears
and Kmart stores after poor sales during the holidays, the most
crucial time of year for retailers.

Elsewhere in USA, Nike Inc. (NYSE:NKE) was currently trading at
$96.43. NKE is trading 2.34% above its 50 day moving average and
11.73% above its 200 day moving average. NKE is -1.85% below its
52-week high and 40.43% above its 52-week low. NKE's PE ratio is 20.60
and their market cap is $44.71B., reported analysts at Beacon Equity,
stressing the stock as one of the insiders are currently selling.
After a near 3% drop to $47.25 yesterday, the 52-week trading range
for Lululemon Athletica shares is $32.65 to $64.49.

Meanwhile, analysts at Zacks Investment Research recommend to sell
shares of A&F. "Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE: ANF) reported a
third-quarter profit of 57 cents per share on November 16 that fell
21.92% short of the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The full-year average
forecast is currently $2.79 per share, compared with last two month's
projection of $3.28 per share. Next year's forecast dropped to $4.32
per share from $4.71 per share in the same period."

Across the pond in London, Next was up 22.5p at 2710.5p ahead of a
trading update next week, but the rally seen yesterday for Marks &
Spencer proved short-lived as its shares were 2.5p lower at 306.1p.
