[1]Although it's only been a mere six months since singer Amy
Winehouse's tragic death, it is clear that she has left quite a
legacy behind, both musically and fashionably.
Designer Jean Paul Gaultier decided to take Amy Winehouse's
signature style, slightly alter it here and there and send it down the
runway in a tribute to the singer. The Spring/Summer 2012 Couture
collection featured Amy's signature polo shirt style, cut up and
sexed up for the catwalk, and teamed with pencil skirts, heels and the
signature beehive. The polo shirts featured low-cut necklines and a
'G' symbol in place of the usual Fred Perry logo.
As well as the beehives, all of the models displayed Amy's signature
eye-make up look in the form of heavy eyeliner as well as her beauty
spot above the top lip.
For the show's finale, models took to the runway wearing black
veils, walking alongside four males performing doo-wop versions of
Winehouse's biggest hits.
We absolutely loved the Couture collection and think it's a great
way to pay tribute to the late great Amy Winehouse.
