[1] Last month we brought you the controversial news that Versace had
opened their very first children's Boutique [2] in Milan, stocking
the new 'Young Versace' collection, which launched at Pitti
Immagine Bimbo last June, as well as Swarovski Crystal and Leopard
Print baby bottles, pretty dresses and smart suits for children.
With new collections and ventures comes a much needed advertising
campaign and Cindy Crawford's 10 year old daughter, Kaia Gerber, is
the first face to represent the Young Versace brand. Kaia was cast to
model the Spring/Summer 2012 collection and poses in items emblazoned
with the brand's Medusa head and Greek key motif.
Although her first modelling assignment, Kaia is quite obviously a
natural and her famous mother was on set to lend a helping hand.
"Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift. The camera really,
really loves her. Having Cindy on-set for the shoot took me back to
all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a
special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother's footsteps," said
Donatella Versace of her latest muse.
