Germany-based Lindauer Dornier GmbH will present its weaving machinery
at the 13th International Exhibition for Equipment and Technology in
the Light Industry (Inlegmash 2012) in Moscow during March 12-14 in
the joint booth with Textima. This will be the sixth time for Dornier
to participate in the fair. The company offers rapier and air-jet
weaving machines with high productivity and high flexibility. As
introduced, the rapier weaving machine with its patented weft
insertion system, the positive controlled weft transfer in the middle
of the fabric, allows the production of the finest silk yarns up to
coarse yarn counts, for example glass roving or carbon for industrial
fabrics.

Dornier's air-jet weaving machine is suitable for the production of
very dense fabrics, single or double width, as well as for Jacquard
weavers with their high-quality, fashionable products. An insertion
rate of more than 2,500m/min has been achieved with air-jet weaving
machine nominal widths of up to 540cm, the company remarks.

According to Dornier, some applications of its weaving machines
include very dense cotton fabrics for conveyer belts, working garment
or canvas as well as glass or aramide open mesh products for
reinforcement fabrics which are used for the construction industry;
technical fabrics for lorries, including tire cords, airbag fabrics
and lorry tarpaulins; as well as home textiles and garments including
terries, colorfully patterned Jacquard fabrics for tapestry,
upholstery or decorative fabrics.

Dornier adds that its Open Reed Weave (ORW) technology allows a wide
diversity in patterns for clothing and decorative fabrics or also a
systematic use of partial reinforcements in technical textiles. The
company was awarded the Techtextil Innovation Prize 2011 for this
special stitching unit in both ranges of application.

Dornier has recently enhanced its website by all information on
weaving machines and specialty machinery in the Russian language.
